REMINDERS
PLEASE Keep Your cell phone ON & on your person at ALL times while in PW.
If You're scheduled for ANY morning shift. Please meet at the KINGDOM HALL field service meeting.
When displaying the MAGAZINES, PLEASE DISPLAY BOTH the Watchtower & Awake!
And PLEASE "double them" by placing the single Watchtowers in the Awakes when displaying on the cart (the Watchtowers already come shipped with the Awake! magazine inside).
Be sure people understand that "either" magazine already have the other one in there.
Publicize jw.org at every opportunity possible
BE EFFECTIVE
Disruptive ones: Remain calm and friendly. DO NOT DEBATE OR ARGUE WITH ANYONE. If near a literature cart or display, step away so others will not be discouraged from approaching. If the person persists in causing a disturbance or becomes irate and threatening, it may be best to leave the area. Help from the local authorities may be requested in extreme situations.
Donations: In this setting, publishers should NOT ACCEPT ANY MONIES OR DONATIONS. If visitors insist on making a donation or inquire about how our work is funded, publishers should direct them to jw.org
Disfellowshipped or inactive ones interested in returning to the congregation: Try to tactfully obtain the person’s name, telephone number and address. Please assure them that you will give the information to the elders in their local area, who will be pleased to visit them in order to explain how they may return to the congregation.
The media: PLEASE DO NOT GIVE AN INTERVIEW OR ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE INTERVIEWED.
Explain that we have a wonderful message to share but would like to set up an appointment if an interview is being requested. Ask for a business card and inform the individual that they will be contacted with further information. They can also be directed to jw.org for additional information about the work of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

BE EFFECTIVE
- Smile and say hello to people. Be friendly. The more approachable you present yourself, the more effective you will be.
- Show with your body language that literature is free and available: Hold a few in one hand, and hold one out with the other hand.
- Do not engage people; let them engage you.
- Prepare a one sentence summary of what you're offering to answer the question "So what's this all about?"
- Do not hesitate to get into a conversation with someone who shows interest.
- Use your Bible to answer a Bible question.
- Use jw.org on your mobile device freely for foreign languages, or to show interested ones how they can find answers to Bible Questions.
- PLEASE take extra care with your dress and grooming whenever engaging in Public Witnessing.
- Be familiar with jw.org & its features and tell people about it. People who hesitate to converse with us or pick up literature, may be more inclined to investigate the website.
- WIDELY PUBLICIZE JW.ORG
- Ensure that BEFORE you leave the Kingdom Hall, that you have ALL the Literature that you'll need along with the cart and the appropriate sign for the cart.
- Matthew 5:37- Just let your word 'Yes' mean yes, your 'No', no,.....If you commit to a scheduled time and place, then be there on time (preferably 5 min early). If you are unable to fulfill your assignment, then please find a replacement. A last minute cancellation affects several other publishers and their schedules.
- If you are the last shift of the day, then please return the literature cart and any other supplies back to the Kingdom Hall.
- Though we want to be mindful of how our cell phone use appears while engaged in PW, please keep it ON for any communication that we may need you to receive in a timely manner.
